Nursery

 Week beginning :

 Monday 20th November 2017

The children have loved learning about trains this week.. They practiced their cutting when making trains for our display and learnt about the many types of trains there are. We are continuing with the theme 'Journies' but moving onto 'boat'. We will be reading the book 'Lost and Found' by Oliver Jeffers and thinking about different boats and what they are used for. We will also be focusing on the colder climate and what animals might live in these areas.

We will be looking more deeply at the story of Jesus and learning about everyone who took part in his story.. We will also be continuing to learn our songs for the Nativity.

In Maths this week we will be continuing our work with sorting and matching alongside looking at shapes in our environment. You could encourage the children to recognize shapes on the way to Nursery by looking at their surroundings.. What shape are the windows of the buildings or the wheels on the car. ‚Äč
