'an outstanding school' Ofsted 2013
Week beginning 20th November 2017
This week we have enjoyed reading and acting out the 'Three Billy Goats Gruff!' We have also taken part in an anti-bullying work shop and had lots of discussions about how to be a good friend. We will continue to remind this to the children every day.
Next week our fairy tale will be "Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs". We will be acting out the story using different props. If you have a version of the story please bring this in to share with the class.
The children will be writing spells and making potions outside with the sand and water. We will continue to look at feelings by creating and naming our own dwarf characters. We will be collecting shiny objects as we will be creating our own mirrors and will be discussing what a reflection is.
In maths we will be looking at different ways of making 7 and also learning about symmetry. We will also continue to practise counting and recognising to 20.
We will also be practising our Nativity show as we now have two weeks left until the first performance!
We will recap on sounds learnt and will be learning the new sounds:
r, j, v, y
