Parent Workshops and Information Sessions

During the course of the academic year we run a variety of workshops and information sessions for parents to attend in order to learn more about the curriculum, how to support their child, new initiatives and many other topics. Please find below resources from our most recent parent sessions. If parents do have any particular areas you would like us to focus on in the future for parent workshops please do let us know.
Secondary School Information Evening
Transitions
Whether your child is moving from Reception to KS1, from Year 3 to Year 4 or moving schools completely, the transition can be a worrying time. In school we do are best to prepare the children for their next step and help them to work through any concerns they may have.

There are lots of ways you can prepare your child too; talking about your experiences, having a worry box at home or sharing books about the changes ahead of them. This website https://lookatourbook.co.uk/resources/ also has resources which might help you support your child.
MATHS
We are very passionate about children having a positive attitude towards maths and enjoying the challenges the subject brings and our October Maths information evening gave us the opportunity to share this with parents. The presentation below is the one from the evening and sets out what the teaching and learning of maths at Holy Trinity looks like.
