At Holy Trinity C of E Primary School we are proud of our strong Christian ethos, which is at the heart of all that we do. We want all of our school community to flourish and live life in all of its fullness (John 10:10). We want children and adults to start, or strengthen their spiritual journey, during their time at Holy Trinity.
Our aim is to ensure that we all are Growing together as children of God.
We want our pupils to grow in confidence, independence, resilience and knowledge, so that all achieve their full potential and develop a life-long love of learning.
We work together with families, community and church to model positive relationships, supporting each other, and acknowledging that we are stronger when we work together.
We are growing together as children of God, strengthening our faith, secure in the knowledge we are unique, loved and cherished.
At the heart of our Christian vision is the story of the healing of the paralysed man, from Matthew 9:1-8. This healing reminds us of the importance of friendship, care for others, trust and forgiveness - these are all at the centre of our school.
Our Spirituality Policy explains how spirituality is fostered throughout our school, in learning, in worship and in our relationships. We aim to:
- Provide opportunities for pupils to encounter the Christian faith and reflect on its significance.
- Enable pupils to develop their own spirituality through the believing (we feel it), thinking (we think it) and living (we live it) lenses.
- Encourage pupils to engage thoughtfully with questions of meaning, truth and values.
- Foster respect, empathy and compassion for others, regardless of belief.
- Equip pupils to make reasoned and informed responses to moral and ethical issues.
